How to configure a Spacemouse for SL
Right-click start button
Run Powershell for admin
Run regedit
Delete the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\3Dconnexion
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\3Dconnexion
Download spacemouse driver
Install driver
Agree to chrome extensions
If you run Norton, allow the connection
Right-click start
Run Device Manager
Under Human Interface Devices
Right-click HID compliant game controller
Disable it
Close device manager
Plug in the spacemouse
Windows 10 message: successfully installed
Click Trainer
Go through each motion to test
Click Settings
Start firestorm
Control-P for Preferences
Move & View – Movement – Joystick
Select your device from the dropdown
Numbers for the boxes:
0 2 1
3 5 4
-1
In the Spacemouse settings:
Should say Firestorm application
Advanced Settings – turn all on and deselect all Reverse checkboxes.
Buttons:
Make new macros for each:
Left: Set to the ALT key. (essentially telling it to shut up and just do flycam)
Right: Set to CTRL ~ for snapshots.
